Welcome to the new Local 32, City of Utica Professional Firefighters website. Utica Fire Dept is made up of 130, full time paid professional firefighters. We currently run out of 6 firehouses and our services include Fire, ALS Ambulance, Haz-Mat and various specialized rescue services. Utica, NY is an ISO Class II Department.

Local 32 is a charter member of the International Association of Firefighters established February 26th, 1918.

  On Thursday May 15th a contract with the city of Utica was passed by a vote of 102 for it and 18 against. At this time I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members who participated in this vote. Thanks to the negotiations team and the Executive board for all their help and cooperation in moving us to a successful outcome. As progress moves forward on the 384E issues updates will be posted. Meetings are currently being set to move forward and we will keep you informed.
